BUS - TRAIN LIGHT RAIL AUTO  FOOTPATH

Going the Distance T'gthr

Think you can do a better job?

No. I'm not talking about this Transit blog. I'm talking about moving people around the state?

The other day I saw a sign on a light rail car on the Newark City Subway.

You And NJ Transit
Going the Distance Together

Recruiting Now For

Part-Time
Bus Operators

It got me wondering about something else, you know, did the former acting
governor know NJ Transit has a pretty good slogan? And why don't I think I ever heard it before?

But, back to the point of Part-Time Bus Operators.

If you want more information, you'll have to go to NJ Transit.

Who knows what perks will come your way as a part-time bus operator? You probably get to ride all the NJ Transit transportation modes for free by flashing your id.

Seems that the least perk you could get to go with your CDL is a spiffy uniform. We hear tell that if you wear the same one over and over until it's a lot of strings, you can meantime pocket the clothes allowance and possibly itemize the cost of your 'replacement' uniforms. Of course, talk to your tax advisor because your mileage may vary.
